New pipes, one flat price

Galvanized steel pipe has a lifespan, and in Hartford's older neighborhoods plenty of it is past the end. It starts as rusty water in the morning, then the pressure drops, then the pinhole leaks begin — one this year, two the next. Patching each leak is throwing money at pipe that's done. A whole-home repipe replaces it all, usually with PEX: flexible, freeze-resistant, and far less invasive to install than rigid pipe. We count your fixtures, walk the house with you, and quote one flat number for the entire job — pipe, fittings, and the drywall patching scope spelled out. Most homes are done in days, not weeks, with water off in sections rather than the whole time. Every fixture gets tested at full pressure when we're done, and we walk the whole house with you before we call it finished.

How it works

  1. Walkthrough and fixture count. We map every bathroom, kitchen, laundry, and hose bib — that's what sets the price.
  2. PEX vs. copper, both priced. You see both numbers with honest trade-offs. Most Lake Stevens homes go PEX.
  3. One flat whole-job quote.Pipe, fittings, valves, and exactly what drywall patching is included.
  4. The repipe.New lines run with water off in sections. We keep you in water as much of the day as possible.
  5. Pressure test and walkthrough.Every fixture tested at full pressure, then we walk it with you.

Common questions

PEX or copper — which is better?

PEX is flexible, freeze-resistant, and lower cost — the most common choice in new work now. Copper is rigid, proven over decades, and costs more. We install both and price both so you can decide on facts.

How long does a repipe take?

Most single-family homes take two to four days. Water is off in sections during work hours, not around the clock.

Will you cut open my walls?

We open small strategic sections to run the new lines. Drywall patching is spelled out in your quote — ask whether paint is included.

Is my water safe with old galvanized pipe?

Rusty water is mostly iron sediment, unpleasant but common. The bigger issue is buildup narrowing the pipe and leaks starting. A repipe gives you clean lines end to end.

Can we do it in stages instead of all at once?

Yes — worst sections first is a common approach. We'll prioritize honestly and price each stage.

Does repiping help when I sell?

Buyers and inspectors notice new plumbing. We can't promise a dollar figure, but it takes a negotiation point off the table.
